Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act

Home Improvement The Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act went into effect July 1, 2009.

The Home Improvement Law is listed as 73 P.S. §§ 517.1.517.19.

The purpose of this law is to help protect consumers from fraudulent business activities. This law mandates an insurance coverage minimum and mandatory registration for all home improvement contractors. Alarm companies have fallen under the jurisdiction of this law and only pertain to residential clients in Pennsylvania.
